Please help our team get to Utah!

Last week the Heat (G 01) won their final game against Lodi 2-0 awarding them 1st place in the Cal North Cup. This means that for the first time in history, MDSA/AYSO region 223 has a team advancing to the Far West Regionals in Salt Lake City, Utah from June 11th to June 17th!

By all accounts...the Heat is a very special team. No many would guess that this talented and dedicated group of girls and coaches had such humble beginnings. These girls and coaches first met on the recreational fields of AYSO soccer, an organization run entirely by volunteers, whose mission it is to "to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment".

As many players left to pursue positions with other competitive soccer clubs in the area, some did not. What was left was a talented group of girls who for many reasons ( such as not being able to afford high club dues) decided to stay. That's when volunteer coaches Marvin Davis & Ryan Lange stepped in. They worked to develop MDSA's first Elite program thereby allowing them to compete and win against some of the toughest club teams in the area. Since then Heat has fought fiercely on the field to earn their place in competitive soccer.

With very little financial support, backed by a team of volunteer coaches, these girls have worked their way to the top of their game .

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

We are so honored to represent MDSA , AYSO region 223 and the cities of Concord & Clayton in Utah! However we desperately need your help. Unlike other soccer teams, we collect no dues and have no budget for travel expenses. As a result some of our team may be unable to afford to travel to Utah without community support. The donations collected will be used to support the housing/travel/food expenses for those that need assistance. We are doing everything to keep our expenses down but expenses are quickly mounting.

We appreciate any and all donations! Even $1 and a comment on this page would be a wonderful show of community support for our girls who will be facing their toughest rivals soon.

With much gratitude & thanks,
