Volunteer Opportunities

As a non-profit organization, the success of Mt. Diablo Soccer is tied to the committment of its dedicated volunteers.  Whether its our coaches, referees, team representatives or board members, our region cannot function without volunteers.  If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of our children by serving as part of the Regional Staff at Mt. Diablo Soccer , the following positions are vacant:

Regional Staff:

Director of Training
The Director of Training will be responsible for the direction and oversight of all education programs for MDSA which includes coach, referee and player development.  Coordinate training dates for MDSA's three season: Fall, Winter and Spring.  Work with outside resources as needed to conduct camps, clinics etc.  The Director of Training reports directly to the Commissioner.

MDSA Online Store Coordinator
The Online Store Coordinator is responsible for coordinating online issues or question from our participating members related to our online store and coordinating efforts by vendor as needed.  This person reports directly to the Commissioner.

Sponsor Coordinator
The Sponsor Coordinator is responsible for coordinating sponsorship opportunities from outside companies to our league and coordinating efforts to procure more sponsors.  This person reports directly to the Assistant Commissioner and Commissioner.

Special Events Coordinator
The Special Events Coordinator  is responsible to coordinate the various league wide events such the Volunteer Appreciation Banquet.   This person reports directly to the ARCs and RC.

Referee Instruction Coordinator
The Referee Instruction Coordinator oversees the training aspects of Referees working closely with the Referee Administrator to schedule classes, procure site and handling questions related to class schedules or issues.   S/he may also have other duties as assigned by the the Referee Administrator and Assistant Referee Administrator.

Referee Assessment Coordinator
The Referee Assessment Coordinator oversees the assessment aspects of Referees working closely with the Referee Administrator to schedule assessments, procure assessors and handle questions related to the assessment process.   S/he may also have other duties as assigned by the the Referee Administrator and Assistant Referee Administrator.

 

Game Schedule Coordinator
The Game Schedule Coordinator is responsible for creating game schedules for all teams mainly during the Fall season and coordinating Field availability with the Fields Coordinator .  Fields Coordinator is responsible for identifying field availability by acting as liason with our sister league DFC and resolving conflicts as necessary.   Assist RC in determining if fields are closed due to rain.  The Game Schedule and Fields Coordinators work cooperatively and can be the same individual.  S/he may also have particular duties such as creating the regional tournament (playoff) game schedules and sending out important notifications during the season and anything else the RC directs.

Game Schedule Assistant
The Game Schedule Assistant is responsible for assisting in the creation of game schedules mainly during the Fall season and coordinating Field availability.  Assist Game Schedule Coordinator in determining if fields should be closed due to rain.  S/he may also have particular duties such as sending out important notifications during the season and anything else the Game Schedule Coordinator or RC directs.

2010-2011 Select Program Coordinator
The Select Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Select Program activities and coordinating with all volunteers to ensure the Select program runs as smoothly as possible.  S/he may also have particular duties such as coordinating game schedules with the Area and coordinating other important notifications to select coaches/teams during the program season.

Assistant Winter/Select Season Coordinator
The Assistant Select Program Coordinator is responsible for helping oversee the Select Program activities and help coordinate with all volunteers to ensure the select season runs as smoothly as possible.  S/he may also have particular duties such as coordinating game schedules and other important notifications to Select coaches/teams during the season as the Select Program Coordinator directs.

Spring Program Coordinator (2011 Spring program)
The Spring Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Spring Program activities and coordinating with all volunteers to ensure the Spring Program runs as smoothly as possible.  S/he may also have particular duties such as coordinating uniform distribution, game schedules and coordinating other important notifications to Spring coaches/teams during the season.
