Dear MDSA Families,

We thank you all for your patience while our programs are in limbo during the current health crisis. Per direction from U.S. Soccer Federation, in conjunction with AYSO National Office and other US soccer bodies, all activities will remain suspended through April 12, at a minimum. At that time, we will follow the advice issued in their next update in planning if and when we can resume this Spring.
We appreciate that at this time of confusion for many children, resumption of regular activities such as school and sports will be a great comfort, and we aim to do so as soon as it is safe for all our players, volunteers, families and community.
The MDSA Board has been working on contingency plans based on the guidance we receive from US Club Soccer in their next update:
  • if activities may resume immediately, we have plans for a shortened Spring House season starting 4/18, at a reduced cost;
  • if not, we will take into consideration any projected dates for clearance to play to see if a shortened season is possible, with the potential for extending into June;
  • or, we will cancel the Spring 2020 season and issue refunds.
For Select and Elite teams, we will be following guidance from 2C/2D Select Coordinators and CalNorth regarding plans for their Spring league programs. Team Coaches/Managers will be contacted by tournament directors for specific impacted tournaments to which they had applied.
As challenging as it is to provide definite answers at this time, please be assured that as soon as we have information or updates, we will let you know. Our thoughts are with all our community during this difficult time.
