We hope you all enjoyed a great start to the Mt. Diablo World Cup last weekend. We were delighted to see so many of you at the fields enjoying the great atmosphere, cheering on the teams and supporting our volunteers!

For this weekend, the city of Concord currently has sports fields OPEN FOR PLAY. With the forecast, we are not anticipating this to change, but please check the field status after 8am tomorrow morning in case of an update:

ELIMINATION GAMES

Saturday morning’s games see the end of pool play. Standings, seeding and elimination game schedule will be updated as soon as scores are received from coaches.

PLEASE ENTER YOUR SCORES ONLINE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOLLOWING THE MORNING’S GAMES.

B10 seeds 5-12 and G10 seeds 8-9 play their first elimination game tomorrow afternoon. It is imperative that these teams verify their game time and location as soon as possible after seedings are finalized.

B10 seeds 1-4, G10 seeds 1-7 and all B12 and G12 teams proceed to Quarter Finals on Saturday, October 30.

Team progress to the elimination stage is dependent upon teams meeting their 16 referee points requirement by the end of pool play tomorrow. For latest points totals (including games through 10/16, but not any additional point allocations/donations after 10/21), check the report online. For teams looking to obtain their final points tomorrow morning, we will verify completion before elimination schedules are finalized. Teams who do not meet the points requirement will forfeit their elimination game.

A huge thank you to all of our referee volunteers for their efforts this season in giving their time to ensure our kids enjoy fun, safe games!

Wishing every team a great soccer weekend; good luck all!
