It was a fantastic weekend for our youngest MDSA competitive teams. All three of our 2008 and 2009 teams who were in action brought home silverware from both sides of the Bay.
MDSA Storm (2009 Boys), took First Place at the Walnut Creek Surf Creek Cup U11 Division.
Storm won all 4 games, scoring 19 and conceding only 3 goals, to win their first tournament of the 2019-20 season. Storm have now placed in the top 2 in 8 of their last 9 tournaments, winning 6 of those tourneys!
MDSA Legends (2008 Boys), took First Place at the Soccer By The Bay tournament in Burlingame this weekend.
The Legends won all 4 games over the weekend and won a hard fought final 1-0 against Natomas Youth; and secured a repeat of the tournament they won last season.
MDSA Fierce (2009 Girls), took Third Place at the Stanford tournament in Palo Alto this weekend
This was Fierce’s first ever tournament and after winning both games on Saturday they narrowly missed out on the final with a 4-2 loss on Sunday morning but battled back and won the 3rd place consolation game 2-0 against Tremors Chivitas.
